I've been back from Anime Expo 2007 for 2 weeks^^a. I had a great time cosplaying, entering various contests, and meeting new friends~

-Haruhi Cosplay Gathering:
I was cosplaying mikuru at the gathering!

-Contests: Since all the contests are in the first 2 days, It was a rush going through them along with other events xD

*Hare Hare Yukai Dance Contest:
I was cosplaying mikuru, the yuki in the video is sakuraneko xD, I dragged her in since we need a yuki:

Although we didn't win, all the group members had lots of fun practicing together! The experience was priceless! ;o

*8th place in Manga Cafe Art Contest
The result is not too bad actually, since I only spent a few hours on the drawing.
It was my first time coloring my artwork by hand with copic markers. I didn't even have time to draw the background since I spent most of the time on other events.
The good part is, the prize include a copic marker introduction artbook and a few sildes of toner - just what I want.
I also found that drawing with copic has a lot of fun

*6th place in Karaoke Contest, semi-final
Preliminary: God Knows...(Cosplay: Bunny Girl Haruhi with Guitar)
Semi-final: Realize + same dance as in PV (Nami Tamki style clothing)
My goal was getting into the final round, but I did pretty bad on my second song. \
Kira suggests me to sing songs I really good at but not the popular ones. Songs like "Futari no Basho" from doujin game "Kannagi nai Tori" fits my voice range pretty well.

I also met aya's #1 fan (the one in red coat in this famous akihabara video: [link] ) when our hare hare yukai dance group was practicing in the midnight, he was passed by and saw our dance. Then he talked to me and gave a few suggestions on our dance moves (of course in Japanese xD).
On day2 when he was mad about getting a presigned autograph from SOS brigade seiyuus, kira and I took him to Chiaki Ishikawa (see-saw)'s autograph session.
I gave him my extra signing board before we went in. He looks much happier after getting Chiaki's signature.

I felt really happy meeting new friends at AX07, and kinda mad about myself didn't do my best in the contests. =/
Well, I'll give them another try next year then 8)

-We brought:
Kira and I brought 7 random Dragon Quest monster figures (which are very cute and rare), a set of Haruhi figure, a set of Gundam Seed figure(include lacus in final plus dress), a set of chibi gundam figure, and a master grade gunpla.;D
